Inspiration The Island Wakes Before the Generators Do

BizDevDesigner · 19 October 2026 · 1 min read

Somewhere around five, before the first generator coughs to life, Bonny belongs to the early people. The creek is flat as a tray. A canoe slides out. A woman at the jetty is already arguing happily over the price of fish.

Nobody announces this part of the island. It does not show up in a development brochure. But it is the engine: bakers, fishers, drivers, traders, all starting on credit, nerve and habit.

Here is the opinion, plainly. Bonny does not have a motivation problem. It has a visibility problem. Plenty of people are already doing the work. Too few of us know who is doing what, two streets away.

So start small. Tell one neighbour what you sell. Ask one neighbour what they need. The island has always moved on word of mouth. We are only trying to make the mouth louder.
